These are the archived scam reports from 2010. 2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2011 | 2012

December 19, 2010 - Wealth Financial Loan LLC - Don't ever contact these people. I've been scammed. I pay them $760 but i didn't get any loan from them. The second time they asked me to send money thru Western Union, I realized that its a scam. I'm so desperate to get a loan so I trust them, thinking that they are legit because they said they are using the Bank of America. Sad to say I've been scammed.

December 14, 2010 - North Hampton Lending - I received a call from this company. I had been approved for $5000 and a monthly payment of $161.34 to be repaid in 3 years. They requested a security deposit of $800. I checked what resources I had and did not find any derogatory report, so went ahead and sent the $800. The $5000 were to be in my account in 3-4 hours. In 4 hours I checked my bank account hoping to find the $5000, but the money was not there. I called them and they asked for another $800. I told them the Loan Agreement said the security deposit was $800 and that I would not send any more money and if they could not comply with the loan agreement, to refund my $800. They said I would have to wait 30 business days. I filed a fraud claim with my local police department, the FBI and the FTC. I want these guys locked up.

November 18, 2010 - Harmony Brokerage - I am returning to work after being unemployed for 7 months. All my credits cards and other bills where behind. I applied online at Harmony Brokerage in Fargo, ND. They requested 1000.00 up front on a 10,000 personal loan, needless to say it was a scam. Via western union... Beware!

November 8, 2010 - LoanCity or Greenland Financial Alliance - My husband and I were trying to get a loan so we could pay off some bills and have a nice christmas for our kids, so we found a website that connects us with a lender. So we filled out there application and got a call from Mr Benjamin Sutherland from Greenland Financial Alliance and continued with the application. From the paperwork and calling everything looked legit. So they asked us to send them $1360 to put down for an $8000 loan. We Western Unioned the money to the them, and the next day when the money was supposed to be put into our account we get a call from a Mr Jason Walton, He says that there was something that the "actual" lender didn't like on our credit report and requested more money down. We did NOT send anymore money to them and told them that we wanted to cancel and requested our money back. We kept getting the run around with that and we were finally told that we would receive our money back on the 29th. Not sure if we will get it back or not, Hoping we do so our kids can have a christmas. So DO NOT go to loancity.org or apply with Greenland Financial Alliance.

November 3, 2010 - Allen Hill Trust - My husband and I were looking for a loan to help pay bills and get us out of this hotel with our kids. We got a call from someone claiming his name was Russell and he was with Allen Hill Trust. He went on to tell us that we had been approved for a loan of $5000 and we just needed to send in $852.72 which would "secure" our loan. He didn't talk to me but spoke with my husband. As soon as my husband called me with the news I knew instantly that it was a scam. One of the things that really stood out to me from the beginning was the fact that there was no phone number on the website. Usually a company that is offering such a large sum of money will have a phone number for you to contact them with questions. The other thing that stood out is that they didn't ask for any Social Security numbers. Another RED FLAG!!! Any company that is offering credit for an extended period of time (3 years was to be the length of our loan) they will want to pull your credit profile.

October 28, 2010 - Allen Hill Trust - I was contacted by Allen Hill Trust in Detroit, MI that I had been approved for a $7,000.00 loan. They sent me loan papers to sign, which I did, and faxed them back. I was then told to send them $900.00 (plus Western Union Fee of $76.00) to a person in Toronto. I should have known this was a scam, but since I needed to money so badly, I trusted them. I was told that they received the money, and I would have my funds in my account the next day. I was called the next day and was told there was a problem with my file. I needed to send another 6 months payments in before they could release the funds. I told them that I did not have the money, and they said they would have to close the account. I asked them about my $976.00, and they said that it would be over 30 days before I got a refund. Their phone numbers is 1-877-273-3551, extension 586 Aaron Cormack. I also spoke to a man by the name of Howard Matthews. I wish I had not done this now. I am out that money, and they don't care. Please be aware.

October 25, 2010 - Baker & Daniels or BDF Services - I was called by a company calling themselves Baker & Daniels or BDF Services, the man called himself Paul Green, said I was approved for a $15,000 loan, but since my credit was bad I would have to pay $840.40 up front to cover the first 5 months, he said the loan was coming from a private lender, and he also faxed over a loan agreement stating what the payments would be each month and the interest rate. I did some investigating and found your site and thank goodness I did not work with these people. Thank you for your postings it really saved me.

October 18, 2010 - Dawkins Financial - I was sent an email stating that I was approved for a $5,500 loan. I filled out a lot of "loan paperwork" which seemed to be legitimate. I was then told that I needed to put down a $825.00 security deposit, which was to be sent by Western Union to an individual who was supposedly the individual lender. I spoke with Cassandra Phillips (my "loan officer). Once I sent the money, I was advised that the lender now wanted an insurance policy of approximately $800 more. At this point, I realized I had been scammed. I tried to reach the company the next day, and the phones do not work. I reported this to the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI Crime Complaint Center, in addition to posting a report on ripoffreport.com. I was told by this Cassandra person almost three weeks ago that the money I sent would be returned via mail. Nothing yet and I don't expect it. These people are dirty scammers!

October 1, 2010 - Lakeside Loan Center - I applied online to a couple places looking for a personal loan. The next day Michael Dover called saying I was approved for a $7,000.00 loan. I needed to pay the first 5 months payments up front as collateral, totaling $860. When the only form of payment they would accept was Western Union to a person (he claimed they were a clearing house for investors), I knew it was a scam and did not send the money. In the meantime I had already faxed a copy of my paystub, a voided check, and my driver's license.

September 22, 2010 - Lakeside loan - Allan Parker from Lakeside Loan (also called it via a message as Lakeside Financial) called me with the offer of a $5000 loan and all i would have to do is pay the first 5 months ($785). My issue is they are preying on people who are in need of help. i was trying to get a loan a while back and gave up after i encountered the exact same thing with a company out of California. Thank you for your site because i was about to believe this was some new practice. I found your site and realized this is a scam.

September 11, 2010 - Radissons Business Solutions - I received a call from Mr. Derek Phillips 888-212-2146 ext 221 from Radissons Business Solutions from NY. He said he received my prequalification from FLS and I needed to fax my driver’s license, social security card and last paycheck stub to him, to complete the pre-processes. I did that 8/18/10. I received approvals and a contract with terms. $200,000 6.5% interest for 30 years. I had to pay two months payments up front as a deposit that would be returned to me within 2 months of the loan funding if I made the 1st two payments on time also there was an insurance on the loan in case of death or job loss and these costs were to be included in the costs of loan. It may sound odd by looking at the documents (Hindsight 20/20) I did ask why there wasn’t an address where the loan payments would be made. I was told by Mr. Phillips that once the loan was completed and funded I would receive a package in the mail how the make the loan payments because there would several options do to so and they use several different loan companies. I signed and faxed the contracts backs 8/23/10 Mr. Phillips called to say all paperwork was completed and all loan approvals received. I could expect funding within 24 hours of Radissons’ Business Solution receiving the deposit payments. I sent the Deposit payment in on Aug 31st Via western Union $2528.28 plus the $190.00 western union fee. I paid a total of $2718. I send it to New York and a "courier" Rose McCarthy was going pick it up from Western Union. Mr. Phillips called to say he had received my payment and I could expect a the loan to be deposited into my bank account before noon the next day Sept 1st. Mr. Phillips call on Sept 1st mid morning to say there had been a mistake with the loan approvals because the funding company didn’t want to insure me unless all insurance payments were made up front at the beginning of the loan. I believe he was trying to get me to send more money to cover the "insurance" costs. I said I wasn't sending him another dime he was to either send me back my deposit or make good on the loan he told was all approved and verified. He said he would be sending me back the deposit and he has not returned my calls since. I realized I had been scammed.

August 27, 2010 - Advance Access Lending Solutions - wanted me to send them $879.72 to secure a $10,000.00 loan. I faxed them all my personal information although when I got the docs from them saying I would have to give them money via Western Union money in minutes I smelled a rat and knew they would rip me off. It really isn't the way to do business regarding a loan. please put it out there these people are scammers. Thanks you your site I did not send any money to them. I'm now going to call the police and put a fraud alert on my accounts and try some place else to get a legitimate loan.

August 23, 2010 - Direct Lend Network Center - direct lend network center..This is the same story that you have heard over and over again..I sent these people money to "secure my loan" from a private person. I should have caught the clue right there but I needed the money so badly I just sent it. Now I am out $2000.00 and these people are having a grand old time with my hard earned money that I didnt have to give them in the first place. PLease please pass on these stories dont let someone else become a victim like we have been. Now since these people have done this I am going to lose my home. If it is too good to be true.....IT IS!!!!

August 18, 2010 - Gateway Debt Solutions - 209-896 S. State St.,Dover, DE. 1-302-450-1188 ext. 203, Nicole Ross. Nicole Ross left me a voice mail stating I had been approved for a loan and to call for the terms and conditions if I was interested. When I called the phone number, there was an automated message where I entered extension 203-the line rang for a while before a woman answered the phone with an apprehensive sounding "hello". I explained I was returning her call and she asked if she had stated what the loan amount was in her message. She hadn't...and she immediately replied $10,000.00, even though she seemed to be having difficulty locating any of my information. The second she got to the loan deposit "terms and conditions" of an advance deposit of 4 months payments, I was incredibly suspicious. Then when I asked her how that was done, her response was it would be wired to an available "contact" to lock-in the interest rate of 6.9% and the 3 year term, but I wouldn't have my first $308.31 payment due for 60 days, and the last 2 payments of the loan would be credited for the up-front payments. Researched the company: BBB-Nothing; Dex and Yellow Pages online-No listing; Whois.domaintools.com shows the registrant as Gary Voss in Toronto, Ontario Canada and the website created on 07/13/10. I did not send any money. To be honest, I felt it was a scam from the beginning, but like so many others, hoped it wasn't too good to be true.

August 1, 2010 - Union Point Financial Group - 877-530-9814 ext 315. I was called by a man by the name of Micheal Danielson telling me I was approved for a $5000 loan. He said that after reviewing my credit, he saw I had a lot of problems (which I do). The only thing is I never gave my social security number when I went to this website to apply for the loan. Needless to say, he asked for money up front saying I won't have to make a payment until February if I send $500 now. I stated that I couldn't afford that and he immediately hung up. When I started searching online, I see these stories and I am glad I never fell prey to they heartless moneygrubbers.

July 21, 2010 - Levant Financial Institute - "Approved" me for a $10,000 loan and because I needed it so bad, I almost fell for it. I was told I had to pay $1000.00 for the loan and send the 1st $500.00 by WEstern Union to Canada to some guy.....I knew then it was a scam....I even ask the woman I had been talking to for 2 week, if it was a scam and she always said no and that I would have an account on line and could always refer to their website......such crap. I was so mad!

July 12, 2010 - Premium Debt Solutions - After reading all the posts below, I really feel like a fool. The company goes by the name of Premium Debt Solutions the rep is Kim Oreilly. July ninth I was led to believe that I had been approved for a $10,000 loan. I western union $974.00 total $1034.next day I was asked to send $750.00 more .I snapped! 46 years old I thought I did my homework. I asked for a refund of my money to kim at premium debt solution. She told me it would take 7-10 business days. So I contacted BBB and the State of Connecticut and also the banking regulations unit. My husband said we probably wont get our money back...I thought God had finally shined on me and my family, when all of this was from satan. WE cried all day friday because we borrowed from people to get the money. I am afraid we are going to get evicted off the land that our home is on. we don't have friends or relatives to ask for any kind of help.

June 20, 2010 - Polaris Financial Solutions - They said that I was approved for $8,500 but I need it to send a down payment of $1,275. (they even sent a loan agreement) When i called BBB in NC they say that it's illegal to ask for $$ upfront for a loan.

May 15, 2010 - Rown Tree Financial - I just got a call from "Colleen" at Rown Tree Financial telling me I was approved for a loan in the amount of $6500. However, I must give them $875 in order to get my loan for collateral. I immediately knew this was a scam. I am glad I checked on this website to further reinforce that this is a scam. Terrible people out there.

April 23, 2010 - Applefield Services - I am thankful I never sent Applefield Services any money. A guy named William Harris that worked for that company was in touch with me all the time and I found it weird I could not find the company info online. And every time I called they had an answering machine that first verified identity. The other one is a recent scam I feel so foolish for giving them my information the number is 212 796 6988 I received a voicemail from them telling me I have been approved for an auto loan. I called from a different number and a guy picks up with " Hello". Tell me what business picks up and says hello. The guy sounded Indian and ended the call with God Bless you. Another shady element no banker would say that. Called back and no one is picking up now.

April 5, 2010 - Atlantic Capital Financial Group - My girlfriend was in great need of a loan to catch up on her bills. She sent them $700 dollars (Western Union) to Jamaica (RED FLAG) and then they told her that she needed more to in order to get $5,000, so she sent them $700 more dollars and they guaranteed her that the money would be in the bank and she would not have to pay her loan for 14 months. The lady really sounded legit and even had an 800# which asked who was calling before it transferred (second RED flag) and lastly tried to call them back after she wired the last payment and needless to say, the number was disconnected! I am so sad...I hope the wrath of GOD pours over on those scammers!!

March 27, 2010 - Applefield Financial Services - Operates the same as all these other scam artists listed. Luckily I didn't send them any money. It just sounds fishy to have to pay money in advance to secure a loan. People PLEASE BEWARE!

March 20, 2010 - Procredit Financial Group - A sweet talking lady called me telling me that I had been approved for a $5,000 loan. I was desperately in need of the money to pay off debts. I was told that because I had no collateral,I would need to pay at least 3 months of payments before they could transfer the loan to me. Needless to say, I did not have the money, so I borrowed it with a promise that I would re-pay it once the loan was transferred into my account. I trusted these heartless people. The young lady. Ms. Peterson, assured me that once they received the funds, my loan would be transferred the next day with the first batch that went out. The next day, I received a call from a Mr. who proceeded to tell me that there were some complications with my credit and that I would not receive my loan for another 3 days. I became very alarmed and upset, because I had been told that I was already approved and that I would receive my loan as soon as my money was received. I then knew that I had been scammed. This man had the audacity to try to talk to me further to tell me that I was going to get the money, it was just a matter of when. I feel so horrible because I fell for this, lost my friend's money and could not repay it. I also faced huge problems with my creditors and having some of my property taken and utilities cut off. I felt so horrible that I put my trust in these terrible people! I also gave my personal information to them. That is another thing that I regret. I've learned a most valuable lesson from this. I will never trust a stranger who asks me for money up front (fees of any kind) in order to obtain a loan. I also learned not to give out my most personal information to the scheisters! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! THEY ARE FRAUDS!

March 15, 2010 - Yorkview Financial Services - I am a college student and I was applying for student loans. My credit is not that great and a couple days later a "lender" called me by the name of Yorkview Financial Services saying that they could approve me for a loan, but I would have to pay 1080.00 up front. I thought it was a answer to my prayers as I was having a hard time finding a loan, to pay for my college expenses. I scraped up every penny that I had, and borrowed the rest that I couldn't cover. I sent it by western union, to the lender in Russia. After the money did not show up in my account on the set date, I called them back and they told me that I needed to send in another 1080.00 because after my credit report was ran,and my debt to income ratio was too high. I haven't sent in the second amount and after reading all these websites saying that it is illegal to ask for money up front, I am now worried that I am not going to get my money back, and it was everything that I had. On the contract, my financial advisor was Brandon Wells at 1-877-430-9518 ext. 464 and Kyle Wells in Customer Service asked for the second fee. The address listed on the contract is 205 West Randolph Street Chicago IL 60605. I am an idiot for doing this, but these people really know how to prey on you in your time of need. Beware!

March 1 , 2010 - Allied Lending Assurance - took money from us for a loan that we never received from their company supposedly in Atlanta GA. Now nobody will answer the phone number we have for them.

February 15, 2010 - Norwest Financial Company - Supposedly in Norwood, MA, approved for a $35,000 business loan. The phone number was 877-300-8112 and the people spoken to were Conner Edwards and Lindsey Cardwell. Initially I sent $1811 dollars western union to Canada-Marie Lewis. Called back and said since we were a "poor credit risk" we would need to send and additional $1811. They explained these fees as insurance and we would use this money for our first 6 months of payments. Second wire was to Andrea Fernando in Canada. Then this company fell into some legal problems, but they found us another loan company. We even had a contract signed for this loan. They assured us our first $3622 would be refunded in 30 days by the original company. We were stupid enough and sent additional $1689 and lo and behold no money. They still answer the phone as a business, but they will disconnect as soon as they know it is us. Reported to the BBB in Boston and FBI and nothing is being done. So beware!

January 12, 2010 - Regus Investment Group - I was scammed by a loan company named Regus Investment Group. They say they are located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401. The phone # is 877-234-4701. I was told by a Tina Bishop ext. 230 that I qualified for a loan but that I would have to send $800 via western union as collateral. I have never done something like this before but I was desperate. Needless to say the next day Tina called me to tell me that I needed to send more to secure the loan and I refused. She said she would send the money back to me via mail and that I should get it within 7 to 30 days. This was on November 25th. It has now been over 6 weeks. I have been calling there office for 2 weeks now and have not received a call back. I should have gone with my instincts and never accepted the offer but like I said I was desperate and now I am out $800. I need help in reporting these people. I am now more in debt because of this. I have documents that I signed regarding this loan and these people have my personal info. They have my bank account number and social security number along with my home address, work address, etc. I feel like such a fool. I have read tons of stories about people who have been scammed and I feel there pain.

January 6, 2010 - Silverton Financial Trust - I applied for a loan through Silverton Financial Trust. I was approved for $5000 but had to send a $500 security deposit which I would get back after 1 year of keeping my payments to date. As it turns out they kept my $500 and I haven't been able to contact them since. I now have the BBB looking into this, so please be very careful who you apply to.
